Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period

(PhD candidate) - 5 year duration

part-time employment may be possible

Faculty II - Institute of Mathematics

Working field:

·      Research in the field of applied analysis with focus on mathematical image and data processing, in particular nonsmooth optimization and machine learning

·      Teaching duties 4 SWS in case of full-time employment

Requirements:

·      Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in mathematics

·      Excellent knowledge in functional analysis, nonlinear optimization, stochastics and machine learning

·      Practical experience in software development in Python and deep learning

·      Very good command of German and English
