in Math. Library at Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 6:00 pm
Dear Colleagues,
We cordially invite you, the members of the Institute of Mathematics, our students, and the art-loving public to our semester kick-off on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 6:00 pm in our library (MA 163).
We will open the exhibition Embroidery - Density and Transparency by Javiera González Zarzar that evening. The Berlin-based Chilean architect and fiber artist explores materiality and transparency in her form of expression, embroidery, interpreting concepts from construction and architecture, among others. Her works challenge the viewer to move mentally between surface and hidden layers. What is it that creates in us the impression of dimensionality, depth and materiality?
Hygiene concept: 3G (vaccinated, recovered, tested) + FFP2 mask.
We are looking forward to an interesting and entertaining evening with art, wine and good conversation.
