Information on the DFG Priority Program Compressed Sensing in Information Processing (CoSIP)
In the end of March the DFG approved the new Priority Program Compressed Sensing in Information Processing (CoSIP). This program is coordinated by Prof. Gitta Kutyniok (TU Berlin) and Prof. Rudolf Mathar (RWTH Aachen). The TU Dialogplattform hosts an information event on the new PP, to introduce it at the TU Berlin and to give other professors and Post-Docs the opportunity to participate. The objective is to reach broader interdisciplinarity for this project dealing with a topic of continuously increasing importance in numerous societal and scientific fields in times of increasing data volumes. After a Welcomeon behalf of the President of the TU Berlin and an introductory lecture by Prof. Kutyniok, examples of Compressed Sensing applications are presented. The event will be completed with a plenary discussion on Compressed Sensing in the Future Information Society together with Prof. Jens Eisert (FU Berlin) and Prof. Bernhard Bodmann (University of Houston).
